Makino Ruki / Rika Nonaka
Ruki appears as a cold girl, very mature for her age (11). She's the second best in Digimon TCG (Trading Card Game). At least that's why many people think. She doesn't think she's any worse than Ryou (the champion), even though some people think (like Hirokazu) that she could only win a TCG tournament after Ryou mysteriously disappeared in the DigiWorld. This might be the reason why she's always annoyed when she meets Ryou - Ruki is a very competitive girl.We can see two different Ruki's sides through Digimon Tamers. First there is Ruki that wants to defeat every Digimon she and Renamon meet. She wants her Digimon partner to be stronger and to digivolve to her next level. She doesn't treat Renamon as her partner and she knows that herself. She says that Digimon are there to fight not to love and make friends with. When Renamon finally digivolves, she tells Ruki that she doesn't need to get stronger to digivolve because she has her, Ruki. So we're slowly getting to know Ruki's other side. She appears strong and cold but she's still just an 11-years old girl. Things that annoyed her in the beginning are now things that she cares for (like Juri or even Renamon). We can even see her cry twice (once Ryou makes her cry and the second time is when Renamon has to go back to the DigiWorld).
