Sparkling Teeth

You're probably asking yourselves ... what the hell is this?? Well, this is a Ryuki information that's unknown to many people. Thanks sooo much to Hikari for pointing me to this page! And thanks to Onkei-Kun for the translation! <3

Rukato fans always claim Rika's nickname for Takato - Goggle-boy - as a love evidence (dubs). Now there is an interesting thing. In japanese version Rika doesn't have a nickname for Takato BUT she does have one for RYO. And that is Sparkling Teeth. Yes, that's true. I don't know if she calls him like that in the show but she does call him Sparkling Teeth in [Drama CD] Digimon Tamers: Original Story, Message in the Packet. If I'll get the permission to publish it, I'll publish the whole translation of it on my page too! :D Let's hope for the best ...

Sparkling Teeth /Sawayaka Kousen/ literally means 'refreshing ray of light' and that describes someone with a bright and smooth personality. (thanks to Onkei-Kun again)

It's interesting that the nickname doesn't mean anything bad. In opposite, she didn't call him something that would mean he's full of himself or anything like that. Not to mention what the word literally means! Refreshing ray of light? ;D

She calls him Sparkling Teeth twice (in this Drama CD). Ok so, it's all about how Henry has found a way to send a message to their Digimon and every Tamer should record their own private message for their Digimon and everybody is willing to do that except for Rika (she doesn't know if the message will get to Renamon). And then she bumps into Ryo and after that she changes her mind. She comes to Takato and Henry and when Takato asks her if she met Ryo, she says that she didn't change her mind because of 'that Sparkling Teeth'.
The second time is in her message to Renamon, where she says that they all (Tamers) became a big family ... even Sparkling Teeth. So there's an emphasis on Ryo! I guess she must have used this nickname for him before because if she didn't nobody would know who she's talking about!

This thing with the nickname is special because nobody else had a nickname in any Digimon season (except for dubs where Rika calls Takato 'Goggle-boy')! And there sure was no nickname that was given from a girl to a boy! <3
