Other Possible Couples
Of course there are people that don't like Ryuki and are fans of Rukato or Jenruki or even something else ... Let's take a look at other possible couples. DO NOT FORGET! This is all my OPINION, don't hate me for it! :p

Rika + ?
RIKA × TAKATO (Rukato)
A very popular couple I think. At least it was the last time I checked ... Personally, I would never choose this couple to be my favourite one. Ryo did appear in 28th episode and fans had planty of time to choose their favourite Rika-couple, but why Rukato?? There is a BIG barrier for Rukato. Jeri (Juri/Jen)! Takato cannot be with Rika if he likes Jeri! And Takato -> Rika is the only thing that could maaaaybe be possible if it wasn't for Jeri. Rika doesn't seem to stand Takato. Their personalities are just so different! Rika is always strong and cold and Takato ... he's a cry-baby, sorry, he is. And that's fine for a 10 years old boy but Rika is the same age and already more mature. They do respect each other, Takato is probably even a bit afraid of her but that's all. Only one word to say in the end ... JERI!

RIKA × HENRY/JENRYA (Jenruki)
Also a popular couple. The only reasonable (besides Ryuki) I think. From the start we know Takato likes Jeri and Jeri is really nice to him, Kazu and Kenta are just Kazu and Kenta and Henry is the only one left (if we don't count the yuri couples <.<). I watched Tamers from the start and I just LOVE couples and it was a must to select my favourite couple. But I never put Rika to Henry because it just didn't match! They're both mature for their age, that's true. But Henry is such a peaceful person, he thinks a lot, he's so sleepy for me. Rika is more of a girl of action, TCG, Digimon fighting! Henry is totally against it and he doesn't even let Terriermon fight. Ok, Rika changes in the end but I still think she keeps her fighting spirit. C'mon, her Theme Song is Moon FIGHTER! I can't imagine how these two would be together. In my opinion Rika is too alive for Henry.

RIKA × KAZU/HIROKAZU
Kazu annoys Rika and Rika annoys him. Kazu once said that Rika doesn't like Ryo because she would never win against him if they played Digimon TCG. That made her really angry and she was really mean to him. Rika cares about Kazu (and Kenta) as a part of their group; when the pink lightning that transports you to other location threatend to take Kazu and Kenta, she and Renamon tried to save them, but they were all taken by it. Rika was really angry when that happened and she started to yell at them both. However, Kazu probably respects Rika (if not for her personality then for her TCG skills - he once said that when she starts to attack in the TCG, every boy from their school runs away). Rika × Kazu = just friends!

RIKA × KENTA
There is even less chance for this couple to be true. Kenta is always with Kazu, did you ever see him without his best friend? He's afraid of Rika (in my opinion), he never talks back to her, that's Kazu's job. If Rika is angry, Kenta doesn't say a thing, he lets his friend talk. There is nothing but, I guess, friendship between them. I've never even met a Kenta × Rika fan ... xD

RIKA × JERI/JURI/JEN
Sooo ... yuri couples. I don't really like them. Rika and Jeri are friends. Rika is annoyed by her in the beginning but she starts to care for her later. That's more obvious after Leomon's death. Jeri is a person who cares about every human being on the planet. She's nice and altruistic and she would never hurt anybody. She even forgives Impmon for killing her Digimon partner. Possible Jeri×Rika scene is after Rika and Renamon digivolve to Sakuyamon - Jeri comes to Rika and hugs her because she was so afraid for her life. Just friends I'll say!

RIKA × SHAOCHUNG/SUZIE
Yuck! Rika is just nice to little crying children. She tries to calm down the crying Suzie but otherwise she doesn't really pay attention to her. No one besides Henry really does. xD

RIKA × ALICE
Who the hell is Alice anyway? She came with Dobermon to help Tamers digivolve, she has this gothic look and she's a grand daughter of Rob McCoy (a college of Henry's father). There's nothing that could make us think of this relationship.

I won't write about any pairings of Rika and for example Yamaki or Renamon or whatever. I think they're disguisting! Friends, friends, friends, partner! Shhuusshh!

Ryo + ?
RYO × TAKATO
First of all ... Takato has Jeri. And I don't think she's ready for a trisome. Takato respects Ryo for being such a good Tamer and Ryo doesn't show any feelings about Takato. They don't even talk much after the 29th episode.

RYO × HENRY/JENRYA
This pairing actually has some fans! o.O Here is a page about RyRy (Ryo × Henry), read it, it's interesting (and it even approves Ryuki xD!). So, however, if we're not influenced by this page, I don't see any evidence of this couple. Ryo didn't actually influence any of the Tamers besides Rika, Kazu and Kenta. Henry did know who he was when they first met but if you know a bit about Digimon TCG you MUST know the legendary Digimon King!

RYO × KAZU/HIROKAZU
This yaoi pairing is at least one-sided! Kazu worshipes Ryo, he's sooo happy when they first meet! The legendary Tamer! Ooh, ooh!! I'm so exited! Kazu plays TCG too and there's no doubt he knows Ryo from the game. He wants to be like him, he's his idol. When Rika and Ryo are 'arguing' he's on Ryo's side, even though Rika is someone he knew longer. But Ryo doesn't show anything for Kazu. Just another fan more, what's the big deal! xD Just friends (Kazu is maybe obsessed with Ryo, we don't know if his room is full of his posters o.O).

RYO × KENTA
Kenta is also a big fan of Ryo. When they first meet him, he and Kazu are really exited and are jumping of happiness. We've met the legendary Tameeer!! But that's where it ends. Just like in Kazu's case Ryo is more interested in Rika than Kenta or Kazu. xD

RYO × JERI/JURI/JEN
Did they ever speak to each other? When Ryo first met her, she was sad because of Leomon's death, they didn't have a chance to really meet each other. I really don't remember them talking ... Ryo never asked about Jeri's condition and why she's so sad, I guess he didn't care or it just wasn't shown in the show. They sit at the same table in the movie but that's about it. Jeri's not really interested in Digimon fights like Ryo is and she's more girly and childish ... They have nothing in common! :p

RYO × SHAOCHUNG/SUZIE
He gave Henry's sister her first Digimon card that she later used to power up Antylamon. That was really nice of him (Henry obviously never gave her any cards xD) but that can't be called a romantic moment. Suzie is just too young for any of them (although I read a fic once about Suzie and Kenta when they were older and I think it's not such a bad idea!). Still, nothing to say here!

RYO × ALICE
As far as we know, he never even met her, there's nothing.

RYO × SAM/OSAMU
Osamu is Ken's big brother (hahaha, Mokuba's voice here xDD sorry ... don't mind this) (Digimon Adventure 02). This is the favourite Japan Osamu couple, but I can't say much about it, since I never played WonderSwan games. However, Ryo and Osamu are friends and they both care about Ken. But Osamu dies anyway, so this couple doesn't really have a future. Plus Ryo is no longer in that dimension.
